An Islamic Theology of Living, Dying, and Spiritual Care develops an Islamic theology of living and dying grounded in a simple Qur'anic truth: human beings belong to God and are always returning to God. Aprašymas

An Islamic Theology of Living, Dying, and Spiritual Care develops an Islamic theology of living and dying grounded in a simple Qur'anic truth: human beings belong to God and are always returning to God. Rather than treating death primarily as a medical event or the afterlife as a subject for speculation, the book asks how awareness of return reshapes human life, mortality, grief, spiritual care, and faithful presence at the end of life.

The book moves from belonging to God and living before God to dying as return, Supplication as conversation, and accompaniment as "withness." At its center is the final illness and death of the Prophet Müammad ¿, approached as an embodied theological event through which vulnerability, dependence, prayer, family, grief, discernment, dignity, and trust become visible. The later chapters ask how a Community of Remembrance receives this Prophetic witness and translates it into faithful practice. The book concludes by turning the theology of return toward the reader: preparing for death is not mastery of a final moment but lifelong formation in worship, repentance, gratitude, relationship, service, and trust in God.

Written for scholars and students of Islamic studies, practical theology, religion, chaplaincy, and pastoral/spiritual care, the book will also serve Muslim chaplains, healthcare professionals, palliative and hospice practitioners, religious leaders, and readers seeking a theologically grounded approach to living, dying, grief, and end-of-life accompaniment.
